Year 7, 8 & 9 Home Learning expectations:
Homework
Every fortnight:
- 10 Reading logs in purple book
- 8 Tassomai daily goals (8 x 20 min)
- 2 English tasks (2 x 20 min)
- 2 myMaths tasks (2 x 20 min)
- 2 Spanish tasks (2 x 20 min)
- 2 tasks based on a knowledge organiser (2 x 20 min)
Knowledge organiser tasks may be substituted for a project.
All tasks set will be accessible through RSL and the home learning portal - students will need to login using their school Google account.
Revision & Retrieval
Plan and complete revision and retrieval practice, particularly when you are informed an assessment is coming up to ensure you achieve your personal best.
Use the school’s knowledge organisers and check the revision and retrieval section of RSL for help.
When staff inform students of upcoming assessments they will ask them to write this in planners.
Year 10 & 11 Home Learning expectations:
Homework
Every fortnight:
- 2 English tasks (2 x 30 min)
- 2 Maths tasks (2 x 30 min)
- 2 Science tasks (2 x 30 min)
- 1 task for each option (30 min each)
Students will write these tasks in planners and have it emailed to them.
Revision & Retrieval
Plan and complete revision and retrieval practice throughout the year to ensure you achieve your personal best.
E.g. memory dump, revision clock, self quizzing, flash cards, Cornell notes, Visual cues and prompts, mind mapping, key word links.
