'Smashed' Alcohol Awareness

On Wednesday 20th January we welcomed Collingwood Learning in to school to deliver their 'Smashed' Alcohol Misuse theatre in education tour for our KS3 students as part of their PSHEE&C programme of learning. 

All students from years 7 and 8 took part in an interactive workshop and watched a live theatre performance which highlighted the issues surrounding alcohol misuse including:

• Health and social facts
• Causes and consequences
• Anti-social behaviour
• Making informed choices
• Peer pressure and self-esteem

Students reported that it gave them "a real awareness of what alcohol can do, not only to your body, but the wider effects it has on your life, through a way that was really fun and entertaining to watch".
