Selby High School Celebrates Tour de Yorkshire

Today, all of the students and staff at Selby High organised themselves into a huge human bicycle to celebrate the start of the Tour de Yorkshire.  Over the last week the mathematics department and a group of Year 11 mathematics students completed the calculations required to set out the bicycle shape on the school field with over 1200 people, in three colours.

This followed a week of activity at the school, where all curriculum areas and houses became involved. This included students producing Tour de Yorkshire themed bunting to decorate the school, a Literary Tour de Yorkshire with Year 8 students in English, ICT lessons that created advertising designs, geography tourism guides and much more.
