NSEA Regional Qualifiers

On Saturday 22nd September the Selby High School equestrian team went to the National Schools Equestrian Association regional show jumping qualifier competition at Bishop Burton college.

The team did really well at the northern qualifier with everyone jumping fantastically. Kaytlyn Fella, Isabella Khosla, Ellie McNeil and Martha Ward took 6th place in the 85cm event. This takes them through to the National Championships as places 1-6 qualify, an amazing achievement.

In the 95cm event, Isabella Khosla, Ellie McNeil and Martha Ward, as a team of only 3 instead of the 4 allowed (best 3 scores count), rode brilliantly to come 4th, again qualifying for the national championships! In this event, Ellie McNeil rode a fantastic course and came 2nd individually. This is an amazing result for the young team and we are very proud of their achievements, especially given that it was against some very strong competition.

Well done girls!
