Year 8 students set up fashion companies

On Thursday 13th February the whole of year 8 had the fantastic opportunity to actively experience what it would be like to run their own fashion company. This enterprise event was run with the support of NYBEP and involved the students working in teams to research, design, produce and market two outfits that would be part of their fashion line. The teams were each given a country to base their designs on, meaning the students were encouraged to develop a greater understanding and tolerance of cultural diversity.

It was brilliant to witness the students working so co-operatively as teams as well as taking full and independent responsibility for their own productions. A catwalk modelling each teams' outfits brought this exciting and valuable event to an end with team China taking the win!
