Year 7 students enjoy Berlin's White Christmas

On Thursday 11th December 2015 the English department took 92 Y7 students to see Berlin’s White Christmas. Originally a film, released in 1954, this musical tells the tale of two WW2 soldier friends: Bob Wallace and Phil Davis, who leave the army to begin a glamorous career in showbiz. Along the way they meet two beautiful girls and, in wooing them, travel to Vermont where they find their old General from the army in dire need of help. Here they put on a heart-warming performance that reminds the General of his passion and enthusiasm for life.

The whole performance was a show stopping, foot tapping extravaganza and the students were enthralled by the bright lights and wonderful uplifting music. The dazzling special effects and glitter falling from the ceiling were particular high points.

We had a wonderful afternoon and, once again, Selby High students were praised for their mature and sensible enjoyment of the production. Thank you to all for a wonderful afternoon!
