Nina Nesbitt - Studio on the road tour

Nina Nesbitt

Singer-songwriter Nina Nesbitt, who recently toured with the massively popular Ed Sheeran, visited Selby High School this week as part of her two week tour of schools. Students at school were excited by her visit, many are already fans. Nina gave three magnificent performances throughout the day on the main school stage. She played a range of her songs for students and staff. The audience became fully involved singing the chorus to her new song 'The people' which will feature on her debut album coming out later this summer. The chorus recordings will be mixed and used in the final version of the song, any contributing student and staff members will be thanked and credited in the final album artwork, by doing so, there is a good chance that it could set a Guinness World Record for the most backing vocalists in a studio album.

Nina has had a terrific year in 2012 when she signed with Island Records in June 2012. She in a really good position for her career to take off in 2013, she is heavily tipped as “One To Watch”. Nina’s song 'The Apple Tree' was play listed at Radio 1 and was Fearne Cotton’s ‘Record of the Week’. 'Stay out' was played on the Radio 1 Sara Cox show whilst Nina was performing here at Selby High School.
