Higher Education Experience Day

On 5th April, 45 Year 10 students visited the University of Leeds to take part in a Higher Education Experience Day. The purpose of the trip was to give our More Able year 10 cohort a greater idea of university life, and how to best prepare for Russel Group applications in a few years. Students took a campus tour and saw the world class facilities that the university has to offer including the gym and sports facilities, the impressive libraries and lecture halls. Students also took part in workshops which included how to apply to competitive universities, how to choose suitable A level courses, and revision techniques used by university students which would help our students prepare for their upcoming mock examinations. Students came away with a better idea of what university life was like, and were enthused about applying in a few years time.
