Young Voices 2016

On Monday 29th February at Manchester Arena, 25 Year 7 students took part in Young Voices, a mass choir of over 7000 children.  The Arena was renamed ‘Young Voices Arena’ for one day to mark the 20th Anniversary.

Young Voices holds the largest school choir concerts in the world with 4,500 to 8,500 children performing at the same time!  After a day of rehearsals students take part in an exciting and memorable musical experience singing together in harmony with accompaniment from a wide range of musicians and artists.

Artists who performed with students this year included Laura Wright, singer for the England rugby union team; Tom Billington who wrote a song especially for Young Voices and The Beatbox Collective, comprised of the leading beatbox artists in the UK.

This was a fantastic experience for all involved and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their day.
