Selby High Win Caption of the Year Competition!

Congratulations to Kieran Doyle G5 for his winning ‘Caption of the Year’ for The Day.  Every week Selby High School students enter the Caption of the Week, a national competition for all schools run by The Day.  We have enjoyed many a success as Caption of the Week winner over the year, but we are incredibly proud to be crowned Caption of the Year winner amongst some tough competition.

 The Day is a daily news round-up accessible to all students, parents, careers and guardians from the link on the Selby High School website.  It is a great way to encourage reading and talk for learning at home, allowing a brief snapshot into the news with some engaging questions, a weekly news quiz and background information to the stories.  You could also try your hand at writing a caption for the weekly image and challenge G5 to their crown!

Congratulations to H4 and Mrs Butler who have already got us off to a flying start as Caption of the Week winners last week.
