Remembrance Day 2017

We are very proud of all our students who showed the utmost respect during the Remembrance assemblies held last week. Questions generated afterwards demonstrated the importance of such assemblies and the respect that these create.

House Captains accompanied staff to Selby Cemetery on the morning of the 10th to take part in a Service of Remembrance. The students were outstanding ambassadors for the school, with year 10 student, Rhianna Boiston, once again expertly playing the Last Post & Reveille to a large audience, including ex-servicemen and women.

Very well done to year 8 student, Emma Sams who raised £79.19 by selling poppies at lunchtimes, on behalf of the Royal British Legion and thank you to students who are members of uniformed organisations for wearing their full uniforms to school on Friday 10th November.
