Year 7 Charity Event

On the 23rd of March 2016 7gc/En1 held a charity event in the LRC, it was to raise money for two wonderful charities. Altogether they had 90 minutes to prepare and run their activities and stalls, in this time they managed to raise a staggering £167.20.

£72.20 went to the charity Martin’s House Children's Hospice. This is a charity that helps ill children to enjoy some of life’s opportunities in a safe and inspiring place. It also gives parents some respite time to recover and get the support when they need it the most.

The other £95.00 went to a charity named Circle of Hope. This is a charity that is run by four local people who are raising money for affected family and friends. In just over 4 years they have managed to raise over £25,000 for people with Brain Tumours.

Some of the stalls and activities run were:

  • Bake sales
  • Raffles
  • Charity shop collection
  • Feeling games
  • Charity badge sales
  • Guessing games

Thank you to everybody who took part or helped in this amazing event. Last of all a big thank you to Mrs Tomlinson for helping the class organise such a fun event.
