Trip to Manchester Airport

On Wednesday 8th July, Year 9 and 10 Computer Science students enjoyed a trip to Manchester Airport to learn about IT and computer systems involved in running the Airport. Students took a tour of the airport with staff explaining the different systems that are in place to ensure high levels of security, customer service and to maximise profit for the airport. Students visited the iconic concord exhibit and were briefed about this famous aircraft.   They then took part in an in depth talk about the systems they viewed inside the airport, in the comfort of a Monarch DC10.

Students are now equipped with first hand industry knowledge that they can apply in their Computer Science Lessons.
