Spelling Bee CHAMPIONS!!

On Monday evening our Spelling Bee finalists went to Barlby High to compete in the final. They had to spell some difficult words in either French, Spanish or English and although it was a very nerve racking experience they all did a fantastic job. In the first round, each student was given a word to spell and in the second round they could choose which member of the team would spell the given word. We are very proud to say that we beat Barlby High by 13 points to 11! A fantastic achievement and it's great to have the trophy back. Massive congratulations to the students involved for all their hard work learning the spellings and for being courageous enough to take part. Congratulations to Flossie Smith, Kyle Leyshon and Elin Noble (our Year 9 French finalists), Charlotte Leetham, Charlotte Armstrong and Emily Hanks (our Year 7 Spanish finalists) and Kate Hinken, Ben Hird and Harry Draper (our Year 8 English finalists).
