Each half term the GCSE Music students from years 9, 10 and 11 all gather in the Music room to showcase their latest performance skills. The students are constantly working hard practising their chosen instruments or voices and this provides them with the opportunity to show how far they have reached in their work.
The performances are recorded for the purpose of GCSE coursework and also so that the students can become used to the feeling of nerves and can build their confidence in performing to an audience. Staff are also invited to attend the recitals if they wish to hear the fantastic work that our students are doing. There is even a performance from a member of staff at each recital just to show the students that they get nervous too!
