Archaeology Adventure

On Wednesday 2nd October, a small group of Year 8 students visited an iron age archaeological site to look at the remains of the roundhouse structures that had been found. Students were able to observe the processes taken to identify the dig site from aerial shots of how the crops grew in the field, to geophysics analysis and finally the trenches and artefacts that were found. Students and staff had a great time despite the torrential rain which fell in the few day previous to the visit, causing damage to some trenches and making it very soft ground!
